HP recently stated that a WebOS-based product will ship in early 2011. It looks like they were talking about the HP PALMPAD.
During an earnings call on August 18, HP said that they'll release "a WebOS-based product in early 2011", when asked whether or not tablets were hurting netbook sales. According to PreCentral, this product will be the first WebOS tablet to hit store shelves.
The WebOS tablet will likely be marketed as the HP PALMPAD (a recently trademarked brand name), though it's not currently known what kind of functionality the tablet will offer.
It's also not yet known whether the HP PALMPAD will be offered exclusively through a specific carrier, such as for instance Sprint or AT&T. However, when HP acquired Palm, the company said it would ramp up sales and marketing efforts for Palm products.
