We took the new M.Zuiko 40-150mm telephoto lens and an Olympus E-PL1 to the US Open. Check out our full gallery and video samples here.
Shooting with the new PEN lenses
Although we used the M.Zuiko 9-18mm wide-angle lens in our Olympus E-P2 review, we got a chance to use it again, along with the newly announced M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f4.0-5.6 telephoto lens.
The US Open in Flushing, Queens, was a perfect venue to see what the 40-150mm could handle, as we shot from rooftop birds-eye views and hunkered down in the press dugouts for close-up action shots. With the latest Firmware updates, the Olympus E-PL1 was faster than when we reviewed the camera, so our experience was quite ameliorated. Here is a gallery of shots taken with the Olympus E-PL1 and the new lenses, along with videos. Be sure to check out our full review of the Olympus E-PL1.
