Internal Verizon Wireless documents reveal The Network's new data plan pricing and structure from July 7.
Android Central has obtained internal Verizon Wireless documents describing down to the very detail how the carrier will change its data plan pricing and structure for mobile phones, smartphones, tablets, netbooks and data cards. According to the documents, the new structure will go into effect on July 7. Existing customers can keep their current pricing when renewing or upgrading, but new lines require the new structure. Additionally, standard discounting rules for existing data features and plans remain the same for business and government customers.
Beginning July 7, data transfers made by the following Verizon Wireless services will count towards your data plan: V Cast Video on Demand, Visual Voice Mail, VZ Navigator, Family Locator and Field Force Manager. Data charges for these services will not be billed for customers who subscribed to any data package (including Pay per Use) prior to July 7, but data use will be billed for these services when customers subscribe to a new data package on July 7 or later. Government customers are not impacted by this change.
Keep in mind that these documents are not official Verizon Wireless announcements, but here's how the new data plan pricing and structure from July 7 should look like:
