Samsung Fascinate Escapes from Verizon Wireless Lab
By Sindre Lia, Tuesday 7 September 2010
The Samsung Fascinate will arrive in Verizon Wireless stores this week, basically challenging the strong DROID fleet.
The Samsung Fascinate will be available online tomorrow and in stores on Thursday, selling for $300 with a new two-year contract. A $100 mail-in rebate will be given when signing up for a qualifying plan.
We've already reviewed the Captivate, Vibrant and Epic 4G in Samsung's Galaxy S fleet, and we'll soon give the Samsung Fascinate a run for its money to find out if it differentiates itself from the strong DROID fleet in a way that makes it a relevant choice for Verizon Wireless customers.
The Droid Incredible, Droid X and Droid 2 are offering overall experiences that are hard to beat by any smartphone, but there's still room for the Fascinate to kick some DROID ass in some regards and make Verizon's Android portfolio even stronger. While waiting for our full review, check out our hands-on video of the Fascinate from earlier this summer:
