A new advertisement by Motorola says the Droid X requires no jacket due to its dual antenna system.
The Droid X is hard to get hold of in stores, but Motorola makes sure to remind us all that its dual antenna system still enables you to make phone calls in any way you want. Here's the exact words in Motorola's latest advertisement, according to Droid-Life:
"At Motorola, we believe a customer shouldn't have to dress up their phone for it to work properly. That's why the Droid X comes with a dual antenna design. The kind that allows you to hold the phone any way you like to make crystal clear calls without a bulky phone jacket. For us it's just one of those things that comes as a given when you've been making mobile phones for over 30 years."
It's difficult to argue with Motorola's claim, as the company does have quite a few smartphones under its belt that have shined in the calling department. Great call quality alone got the company nowhere in the smartphone market to begin with, but it looks like it comes in handy now that the Droid X seemingly goes head to head with the iPhone 4.
The sad part of the story is that Apple doesn't acknowledge Motorola's track record of delivering great phones for calling, but rather tries to make us all believe that however great call quality we've experienced using Motorola handsets for as long as we can remember, we've really all been a bunch of idiots to have believed our own ears. After all, Apple do have an antenna lab worth north of $100 million dollars...
