The Motorola Charm for T-Mobile will bring the enhanced MotoBlur experience to the masses.
The Motorola Charm for T-Mobile has now been officially unveiled by Motorola, and will be released exclusively for T-Mobile USA this summer. Like AT&T's BackFlip, the Charm will sport a BACKTRACK navigation pad on its back. Check out a video demonstration of the Motorola Charm below:
Motorola Charm Brings MotoBlur Enhancements
Motorola promised to release a ton of Android smartphones in 2010, and a ton is about to be released indeed. The Motorola Charm is the latest of the bunch, aiming to attract messaging and social networking users.
The Motorola Charm sports a 2.8-inch touchscreen as well as a full QWERTY keyboard - all in a compact, pocketable design. The BACKTRACK navigation pad, which is located on the phone's back, works similar to a laptop touch panel and enables an unobstructed view of the Web, text messages, e-mails and news feeds.
As the first device in the U.S. to feature an enhanced version of MotoBlur atop Android 2.1, the Motorola Charm will synchronize contacts, posts, messages, photos and more in easy to manage streams - from sources such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Gmail, as well as work and personal e-mail. The enhanced MotoBlur experience also allows for greater customization, providing users more options to follow who and what really matters.
MotoBlur filters can be selected from a single social networking account, contacts, group or messaging account so that users can select only the information they want to stream live to the Happenings and Messages widgets. Users can also move and resize pre-loaded home screen widgets to personalize up to seven home screen panels. Lastly, users can manage their phone's battery consumption by selecting different power modes to conserve battery.
Contacts in MotoBlur are automatically synced to the Motorola Charm from personal and work e-mail and social networking accounts. Additionally, the Moto Phone Portal enables you to access and manage your phone's data from any browser through a USB or Wi-Fi connection.
Other Motorola Charm features include a range of of Google services (Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail), Android Market (65,000 downloadable apps, games and widgets), as well as one-touch social media uploads to Facebook, MySpace, Picasa and PhotoBucket.
The Motorola Charm sports a 3-megapixel camera and Kodak Perfect Touch technology. Multi-touch pinch-to-zoom functionality and two-finger swipe are supported when surfing the Web or sorting through photos. The Motorola Charm also offers CrystalTalk PLUS for enhanced audio and call quality with a second microphone for increased voice quality while filtering the out background noise.
