 The HTC Touch is not a bad phone for calling and viewing. While using the multimedia functions with the included remote, or for basic information gathering, the Touch offers a new look at Windows Mobile 6. It isn't fully cooked yet. The touch screen lags behind, and the new TouchFlo features are hardly skin deep. Still, it feels like a good start getting WM6 to be more touch sensitive. Unfortunately, users who need a keyboard for any reason beyond dialing will be frustrated by the onscreen, pop-up keyboard on Windows Mobile. Looking more like a desperate last resort than a fully-realized QWERTY keyboard, the letters are so tiny, they require fastidious pecking with the stylus. And some of the best features on the device simply don't work consistently, especially the TouchFlo features, the highlight of the device. We would rather see HTC add one of their sparkling keyboards to this phone, but if they won't go that route, and they refuse to drop Windows Mobile for a more touch-friendly OS, it's going to take more than a new overlay and some fun tricks to adapt Windows Mobile for this sort of device. Pros: Cool, small design. Adds more touch and gesture functions to Windows Mobile. Improved Today screen is more convenient.
Cons: Touch screen is not sensitive enough. Still Windows Mobile beneath the flashy TouchFlo screens. Onscreen keyboard very small, hard to use, which limits productivity and messaging.
