The busiest year of all times in mobile technology is behind us. In addition to a vast amount of cell phone and smartphone models released, 2008 was the year of radical design moves and technology improvements across the mobile world. Coupled with new mobile services, the mobile market is finally starting to look like the "3G concepts" we've been writing about for almost a decade. Of course, there's still plenty of room for improvement, and we've yet to see a phone that nails all key aspects of a mobile device. However, we can only hope 2009 will bring us all even closer to mobile nirvana.
