Major developers find it hard to work with Apple, but here's a story on how the company gives everyone the same opportunity to succeed.
There's been said a lot about Apple's iPhone AppStore lately, but the concept speaks for itself in our opinion. Computerworld Norway has interviewed a developer that makes it easy to understand how Apple has revolutionized application distribution.
15-year old Knut Ørland has developed a small TV-Guide application for Norwegian TV channels. Knut's TV-Guide was first rejected by Apple, but was approved after some revisions. The application costs $1.50 and has been downloaded more than 2300 times since October 26.
iPhone users that have downloaded the application has already suggested improvements, but of course, since he's generated $2415 in Net revenues (developers get 70% of the Gross revenue) on the application, you can bet there'll be a new version up soon.
