Alltel and Motorola today unveiled the Motorola Hint, a vertical slider phone with a full QWERTY keyboard offering dedicated keys for a 2-megapixel camera, MP3 player and Web access. The Motorola Hint puts the most frequently used features on the 2.5-inch main screen, aiming to provide easy access to e-mail, voicemail and messaging.
The Motorola Hint comes preloaded with applications such as Alltel Navigation by Telenav, XM Radio Mobile and Aricent Celltop. The phone also comes equipped with threaded messaging, Bluetooth, voice recognition dialing, a USB port and a 3.5mm headset jack.
The Motorola Hint also features external music keys for playback control and browsing of song files, as well as a microSD memory slot that supports cards up to 8GB. Motorola also promises a a mobile Web browser with PC-like experience, claimed to offer rapid scrolling, zooming in and out, utilizing data caching, bookmarks, cookies and history.
The Motorola Hint will be available from Alltel on November 28th, selling for $150 with a two-year contract. A $50 mail-in rebate is given when signing up for a qualifying plan.
