T-Mobile G1 (HTC Dream), Google Android in hands-on photosBy Sindre Lia, 23 September 2008
Check out our extensive hands-on photo gallery of Google Android on the T-Mobile G1 (HTC Dream), containing 18 high-quality hands-on shots.

If you've ever wondered how Google Android looks like on a real smartphone, we guess this extensive gallery of the T-Mobile G1 (HTC Dream) will give you a few clues. We should have hands-on impressions and a video showing the T-Mobile G1 in action up soon as well.

While this site has been running smoothly on Linux servers for years, the open source community has seriously struggled to excite the consumer market. When looking at these photos and remembering that the T-Mobile G1 will be selling for $180 with a two-year contract and a $25-$35 data/messaging plan, we guess that's about to change. That said, not everything we're seeing here shines, but the concept as a whole is very intriguing. The Linux based import gadgets from Japan don't even come close to the gadget factor of this sleek Linux box (we assume it's only a matter of time before the T-Mobile G1 becomes a host for a few websites and putting T-Mobile's AWS spectrum on the map for real!?).
