Canon introduces the stylish and easy-to-use Canon PowerShot E1 (specs), targeted to the teen and tween markets. Whether taking photos with a "BFF" at a slumber party, snapping shots while watching a hot band perform or capturing cap-and-gown moments for a scrapbook, the Canon PowerShot E1 aims to deliver the right combination of intuition and style.
Sporting a rounded and curvy form factor, the Canon PowerShot E1 comes packed with a 10-megapixel sensor and a 4x optical zoom lens with optical image stabilization. The camera is available in three colors including white, blue and pink.
The Canon PowerShot E1 includes a range of options, such as customizable shutter, start-up and operation sounds. Start-up screens and menus can be coordinated with the camera's body color, bringing an additional level of personalization to the camera's 2.5-inch screen and interface.
Furthermore, the Canon PowerShot E1 supports face and motion detection, as well as offering 17 shooting modes including Easy Mode and Scene Mode. In Easy Mode, the camera limits shooting and playback functions to the basics for easy operation.
The Canon PowerShot E1 is scheduled to be available in mid-September 2008, and will have a suggested retail price of $200.
