Alienware today announced that the Alienware Area-51 m15x 15.4-inch notebook, originally intended for gamers and entertainment enthusiasts, now can be configured with the Nvidia Quadro FX 3600M GPU. Courtesy of the new graphics card, the Alienware Area-51 m15x aims to become an option for on-the-go digital content professionals.
The Quadro FX 3600M delivers support for Open GL 2.1, Shader Model 4.0, Direct X 10 and more. With this card, the Alienware Area-51 m15x is claimed to provide a stable and optimized platform for designers and engineers to work in complex, real-time, photorealistic environments throughout an array of CAD, digital content creation and visualization applications.
Alienware also offers an Nvidia Quadro FX 1600M card on the Area-51 m9750 and will soon make available the Quadro FX 3600M on the Area-51 m17x to further extend its professional-class solutions. Click here, to check out the gaming versions of these laptops.
