Featuring productivity tools for field workers and built to meet military standards, the new G'zOne Boulder arrives in Verizon Wireless stores.
Verizon Wireless today introduced the G'zOne Boulder, the newest Push-to-Talk phone that is exclusively available through the CDMA carrier. The G'zOne Boulder (compare specs with the G'zOne Type-S) is built to 810F military specifications to withstand shock, water and dust environments, and at the same time provides access to Verizon Wireless' EV-DO Revision A network.
Additionally, the G'zOne Boulder supports a number of productivity tools as well as entertainment services from Verizon Wireless, including VZ Navigator, Field Force Manager, V Cast Music with Rhapsody and V Cast Video. Furthermore, the G'Zone Boulder offers a flashlight, electronic compass and advanced speech recognition with dedicated voice dial key.
Being Field Force Manager-capable, the G'zOne Boulder can be equipped with a resource management tool that provides businesses with the ability to locate, monitor and communicate with their mobile field workers.
The G'zOne Boulder measures 3.9 by 2.0 by 0.9 inches and weighs 4.9 ounces. It also features a 2-inch main screen and a 1.2-inch external screen, as well as a 1.3-megapixel camera. Verizon Wireless claims a talk time of approximately 3.5 hours.
The G'zOne Boulder for Verizon Wireless is available online now for $180 with a two-year agreement. A $50 mail-in rebate is available when signing up for a qualifying plan. In addition, customers may choose to purchase the G'zOne Boulder without a camera in silver and black.
