Two new Samsung Q1 Ultra models are now available in stores, featuring 3G HSDPA connectivity and Vista Business, respectively.
Samsung announced today the availability of two new ultra mobile personal computers (UMPC). The Samsung Q1U-CMXP, a Q1 ultra mobile model with integrated 3G HSDPA cellular modem and the Samsung Q1UP-V, a Q1 Ultra Premium featuring Vista Business, join Samsung's current line of UMPCs.
The Samsung Q1U-CMXP maximizes connectivity with integrated 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, 10/100 BaseTX, and an integrated 3G HSDPA cellular modem supporting the AT&T Broadband Connect network. In addition, the Samsung Q1U-CMXP boasts the same specifications as the industry standard Q1 Ultra XP model launched in May of 2007.
The Samsung Q1UP-V with Microsoft Business is designed for the commercial market, as well as those individuals that travel frequently. Fueled by an 1.33 GHz Intel Core Solo U1500 Pentium processor and 2GB of system memory, it promises enhanced features, extended battery life and better text entry thanks to the V1.5 Split-QWERTY key caps.
Moreover, the Samsung Q1UP-V has integrated 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, and 10/100 BaseTX for connectivity. Powering the model is a 6-cell, 57.7 watt Lithium-Ion polymer battery that is claimed to provide up to seven hours of battery life.
Both models are available now with an integrated 1.3-megapixel web camera. The Samsung Q1U-CMXP HSDPA model costs $1500, while the Samsung Q1UP-V Vista Business model costs $1450.
