Sony Ericsson W902, W595 and W302 Walkman phones unveiledBy Sindre Lia, Tuesday 22 July 2008
The new Sony Ericsson W902, W595 and W302 Walkman phones are the Swedish manufacturer's latest and greatest offerings in mobile music for the masses.

Sony Ericsson today announced the Sony Ericsson W902 Walkman phone, combining high-end music and imaging features in one cell phone. Promising clearer sound quality and richer bass than previous Walkman phones, the Sony Ericsson W902 stores music on a bundled 8GB Memory Stick Micro card and will ship with new premium headphones.

The Sony Ericsson W902 measures 110 by 49 by 11.7 mm and weighs 99.8 grams, and sports a 2.2-inch screen with 262K colors and a resolution of 240 by 320 pixels. Like several recent cell phones from the Swedish manufacturer, the Sony Ericsson W902 come with Microsoft Exchange and ActiveSync support, to enhance the messaging experience beyond standard POP/IMAP e-mail and instant messaging.

The Sony Ericsson W902 offers an integrated 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, and photos can be geo tagged via cell-id. Other features include Stereo Bluetooth, shake control, auto rotate and a claimed battery life of up to 4 hours.

Supporting Quad-band GSM, EDGE and European HSDPA, the Sony Ericsson W902 is expected to be available in selected markets in Q4 2008. Pricing has yet to be announced.

Sony Ericsson today also introduced the W595 (mid-range) and W302 (low-end) Walkman phones. Both are Quad-band GSM phones, but unlike the W902 and W595, the W302 does not support 3G networks. Check out specifications and galleries for the Sony Ericsson W902, W595 and W302 here.
