It looks like Nokia is planning to release the Nokia 7610 later this year, a stylish multimedia slider to compete with LG's Shine and Chocolate sliders.
Phonescoop today spotted a new multimedia slider from the Finnish manufacturer; more specifically the Nokia 7610s. Featuring Quad-band GSM network support, the Nokia 7610s will operate on both AT&T and T-Mobile networks, and could possibly be picked up later this year.
Key specifications include Stereo Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, FM radio, 3.2-megapixel camera and a 2.5mm headset jack with TV-out capabilities. The Nokia 7610s also sports a microSD memory slot, and should come with a rather capable multimedia player with extensive audio and video format support.
The Nokia 7610s will join a crowded multimedia phone family, including the top-rated Nokia 5310 (available from T-Mobile), as well as the Nokia 5610 and Nokia 5320 (compare). However, given its model name and shiny looks, the Nokia 7610s will likely be promoted as a multimedia slider for style and fashion conscious users, rather than a pure XpressMusic phone. Perhaps to compete with LG's popular Shine and Chocolate multimedia sliders. Interestingly, a different stylish Nokia 7610, was announced as Nokia's first 1-megapixel phone back in 2004.
