Check out some of the best smartphones and cell phones that are currently available, including brand new phones from Nokia and Samsung.
Nokia and Samsung are slowly coming up with better advanced phones for the U.S. market, and Apple's iPhone 3G will be released on July 11. This summer, Nokia will release its new E71 QWERTY business smartphone, while HTC will release its new TouchFLO 3D smartphones. RIM will also launch its new 3G enabled BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Thunder touchscreen phones this summer.
In short, the number of improved advanced phones has exploded recently, which first and foremost is a challenge for the carriers. How quickly will they roll out subscription plans that match these phones and how well will their networks handle the increased data traffic?
Sprint rolled out new plans a week ago, while AT&T is currently completing the high-speed upload part of its 3G network. T-Mobile is also on the verge of rolling out its 3G network for real, and a range of new 3G phones for that network should be released this fall.
Verizon Wireless on the other hand, has already started working on a 4G network using LTE technology. Some of those who sign up for a two-year contract this summer could possibly be among the first ones to get a taste of the future when their agreements expire in the summer of 2010.
