The Sony Ericsson F305 sports motion sensor technology to let users control games with the flick of a wrist or the swing of an arm.

Sony Ericsson today unveiled the Sony Ericsson F305 (specs), a slider phone targeted at a youth audience. Sporting Motion Gaming, the Sony Ericsson F305 lets users control games with the flick of a wrist or the swing of an arm. Using advanced motion sensor technology, the phone can for instance follow the user's actions to imitate bowling or casting a fishing line.

Preloaded motion games include "Bowling", "Bass fishing" and "Jockey", while additional motion games developed by Gameloft plus 50 more 2D and 3D games will be available for download at PlayNow. The Sony Ericsson F305 is claimed to offer up to 8 hours of gameplay, and the new Power Pack CPP-100 accessory (purchased separately) can be plugged into the phone to provide an instant battery power boost.

The Sony Ericsson F305 also features horizontal game play, dedicated gaming keys and stereo speakers, to further enhance the gaming experience. Additionally, the Sony Ericsson F305 offers a Memory Stick Micro slot, 2-megapixel camera and Stereo Bluetooth connectivity.

Measuring 96 by 47 by 14.6 mm and weighing 97.5 grams, the Quad-band GSM/EDGE enabled Sony Ericsson F305 will be released in Europe in Q3 2008. Pricing has yet to be determined. The Power Pack accessory will be available in Q4 2008.
