The HP EliteBook 6930p for road warriors is designed to meet 810F military-standard durability tests.
HP today took the wraps off of its new notebook for mobile professionals, the HP EliteBook 6930p (specs). The HP EliteBook 6930p features a durable HP DuraCase, a brushed anodized aluminum exterior casing combined with a magnesium alloy chassis engineered to meet MIL-STD 810F military-standard durability tests.
The HP EliteBook 6930p is built for the corporate road warrior, and sports HP QuickLook 2 software, HP SpareKey and HP File Sanitizer, as well as shock-resistant hard drive and spill-resistant keyboard to help protect data against bumps, drops and spills.
The initial HP EliteBook 6930p notebook weighs 4.7 pounds, and features a 14.1-inch widescreen display with an optional mercury-free Illumi-Lite LED display. HP claims a battery life of up to 15 hours of combined battery life with an optional Ultra Capacity battery.
The HP EliteBook 6930p comes equipped with Intel integrated graphics, but users can add an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450 discrete graphics card with 128MB or 256MB of dedicated video memory. The notebook can also be configured with Intel Core 2 Duo 9000 and 8000 processors, and features the Intel Mobile 45 chipset family (supports vPro technology).
The HP EliteBook 6930p will start shipping this summer.
HP today also announced the 17-inch HP Compaq 6830s (specs), 15.4-inch HP Compaq 6730b, 6730s and 6735b (compare), as well as the 14.1-inch HP Compaq 6530b, 6530s and 6535s (compare) business notebooks.
