Nokia today confirmed the release of several new E-series smartphones, likely referring to the E71 QWERTY smartphone and the E66 business phone. Both models will be brought to market in the third quarter of 2008, Anssi Vanjoki, senior executive vice president of Nokia Markets, told Reuters.

The E71 will succeed the E61 and E61i QWERTY smartphones, offering Quad-band GSM and European HSDPA support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, as well as Nokia Maps 2.0.
