Myvu's new Crystal 701 and Shades 301 feature a range of improved video goggle technology such as VGA resolution and wider field of view.
Myvu has released new video goggles, including the Myvu Crystal 701 and Myvu Shades 301.
The Myvu Crystal 701 is the company's new top model, offering a display resolution of 640 by 480 pixels (VGA) and 22.5 degrees field of view (33 percent wider than previous Myvu goggles). The display's focal distance is 2 meters, and the Myvu Crystal 701 also incorporates Kopin's latest Cyberdisplay technology. Myvu claims a battery life of up to 4 hours of viewing. The Myvu Crystal 701 is available now for $300.
The Myvu Shades 301 features a 320 by 240 pixels (QVGA) resolution and 16.9 degrees field of view. The display's focal distance is 1.5 meters, and the Myvu Shades 301 is claimed to offer up to 10 hours of viewing time per charge. The Myvu Shades 301 is available now for $200.
