JBL Control Now indoor, Control Now AW outdoor speakersBy Sindre Lia, Monday 2 June 2008
The new JBL Control Now loudspeakers offer curved shapes for various mounting configurations and dual 4-inch woofers.

JBL today announced the introduction of its JBL Control Now indoor and JBL Control Now AW outdoor loudspeakers. Both feature a quarter-rounded shape and incorporate improved technologies to deliver clearer and more evenly distributed sound.

The loudspeakers' curved shape should make it easier to have them corner-mounted between a ceiling and wall or between two walls, though they can also be placed horizontally or vertically on a shelf. The JBL Control Now speakers can be joined to create half-round, three-quarter-round, or round configurations, and hung from a ceiling using an optional pole-mount bracket and standard ceiling-fan hardware.

Both models feature a tweeter mounted in a JBL Bi-Radial horn, complemented by dual 4-inch woofers that are computer-designed to deliver high output with less distortion. The loudspeakers' enclosures are made from high-strength composite material.

The JBL Control Now loudspeakers are currently available at $250 each, while the JBL Control Now AW will be available in late June 2008 for $280 each.
