Iomega today announced that the Iomega eGo 1TB Desktop Hard Drive has now been launched worldwide. The new single-drive HDD "Super eGo" is available in ruby red, midnight blue and jet black. Its design is based on the Iomega eGo Portable Hard Drive, which is currently available in 160GB, 250GB and 320GB capacities.

The new Iomega eGo Desktop model houses a 1TB, 3.5-inch hard drive with USB 2.0 connectivity; measuring 5 by 8.1 by 1.7 inches (WDH) and weighing 2.4 pounds.
