The Marantz BD8002, the first Blu-ray disc player from the high-end audio/video brand, will soon be released with DivX certification.
First introduced at CES 2008, the Marantz BD8002 Blu-ray disc player will soon hit store shelves with DivX support. The Marantz BD8002 boasts a range of high-end features such as HDMI 1.3a output with 36-bit Deep Color support and an Analog Devices 297 MHz/12-bit Video DAC.
The Marantz BD8002 also incorporates a 10-bit Silicon Optix Realta HQV Video Processor, offering upscaling to 1080p, IP converter and 24 fps output. Audio codec support includes Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, channeled through 7.1 surround outputs. A RS-232C port has also been included.
The Marantz BD8002 Blu-ray disc player will be available soon, selling for approximately $2000.
