Samsung Slash is the first cell phone from the Korean manufacturer to be offered through Virgin Mobile USA.

Virgin Mobile launches the carrier's first cell phone developed by Samsung, the Samsung Slash. The Samsung Slash comes equipped with a VGA camera, Bluetooth connectivity, Instant Messaging, text messaging and a light e-mail client.
The Samsung Slash also includes features such as an integrated speakerphone and voice-activated dialing. It can hold up to 499 contact entries, with up to five phone numbers, two e-mail addresses and one website per individual. The Samsung Slash is also outfitted with preloaded and customizable Autotext for faster text messaging.
Games such as Gameloft Jukebox and Superscape Demo come preloaded on the Samsung Slash. Animated and real music ringtones and ringback tones can be downloaded from Virgin Mobile's VirginXL portal. The Samsung Slash also provides access to an enhanced Spanish-language user interface and menu for Spanish-speaking customers.
The Samsung Slash weighs in at 3 ounces and measures 3.8 by 1.8 by 0.7 inches. Its battery life is claimed to offer up to 3.5 hours of talk time.
The Samsung Slash is available immediately from Virgin Mobile for $80.
