The Creative Vado is now available in online stores, sporting a range of features to easily shoot, store and share web videos.
Creative today announced the Vado Pocket Video Cam. Available in silver or hot pink, the Vado camcorder offers a small and lightweight design (3.9 by 2.2 by 0.6 inches, 3 ounces) to fit easily in pockets, purses or the palm of a hand. The Creative Vado will compete against Sony's Net-sharing camcorder that we recently reviewed.
The Creative Vado can record up to two hours of VGA video (640 by 480 pixels, MPEG-4 AVI at 30 fps) on its built-in 2GB of memory, and its removable rechargeable battery should last for a full two-hour shoot.
A two-inch color LCD screen has also been incorporated, along with a built-in USB connector and built-in software program for posting videos to YouTube or Photobucket. Friends and family can also download a user's videos from Box.net.
Priced at $100, the Creative Vado Pocket Video Cam is available now at Amazon.com, B&H Photo, Buy.com, Creative.com, Fry's Electronics, J&R, and Newegg.com. Accessories for the Creative Vado are also available, including a pouch ($15), spare batteries ($15), power adapter ($30) and an A/V cable ($10).
