The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ50 packs 10x optical zoom and a wide-angle, 28mm lens, but more notable is it's fully-fledged Wi-Fi connectivity coupled with 12-months of complimentary service on T-Mobile hotspots. This allows users to upload photos directly to Google's Picasa image-library service even when on the go, all without the use of a computer.
The Wi-Fi service is also functional on home networks, and the DMC-TZ50 is connectable to HDTVs via its component output, which compliments its ability to capture 720p HD video. Panasonic has also included optical image-stabilization and the newest version of their 'Venus Image' processor, in addition to expected features like red-eye correction and face detection.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ50 is slated for availability in May 2008 for an MSRP of $450.
