During a press conference at CTIA Wireless 2008, Sprint announced today the upcoming launch of two new Nextel Direct Connect devices, the Sanyo Pro-200 and the Sanyo Pro-700. These new devices are expected to be available later this month, selling for $50 and $70 with a two-year contract, respectively. New Direct Connect phones from Motorola, Samsung and LG are also planned to be released later in 2008 and in early 2009.
Sanyo Pro-200 and Pro-700
Sporting a slim clamshell form factor, the Pro-200 by Sanyo delivers instant Nextel Direct Connect services and key functionalities including Bluetooth, messaging capabilities and mobile e-mail. Recognizing that instant communication is needed in sometimes harsh environments, Sprint will offer the Sanyo Pro-700 rugged device certified to military standards for dust, shock and vibration. Motorola V950
Durable, yet stylish exterior nature creates a "modern rugged" design. The V950 is slimmed down and suited up to perform anywhere, in the elements, or the job and on the go.
