The clamshell cousin to the Soul has two 2.2-inch LCDs, one with touch sensitivity and haptic feedback.
Samsung announced today the Samsung G400, a dual-screen clamshell version of their flagship phone Soul at CeBIT in Hanover, Germany.
Much like the Soul, the G400 offers a series of graphic user interfaces (GUI), enabling users to change the UI as they see fit. Display skins are customizable for display on the internal 2.22-inch LCD and the external 2.22-inch touchscreen display. The external full touch display provides haptic feedback, and users can operate multimedia features without opening the phone. The external display can control the FM radio, music, camera and photo album features and notifications for SMS/MMS as well as alarm or schedules can be viewed directly on the external display without opening the phone.
The G400 packs a 5-megapixel camera with face detection, image stabilization and a wide dynamic range. Web access is provided through a 7.2 Mbps HSDPA network for Web browsing and sharing pictures and video taken with the phone. The included sub camera allows users to enjoy video telephony when in HSDPA networks.
The Samsung G400 will be available in European countries in June.
