LG's KF600 resembles a Verizon Wireless phone we know, with a contextual touch menu on the bottom. Is the resemblance skin deep?

There's no use anticipating the LG KF600, because for once we Americans got an LG phone before the rest of the world. The KF600 is the LG Venus, out from under the stern gaze of Verizon Wireless' watchful eye. We definitely prefer this version, mainly because LG has done much more with the contextual menus. They are more colorful, more varied and ultimately more useful, which is the point of this design and our main complaint with the VZW model. We won't see this version in the U.S., we can almost guarantee, but perhaps this gives us an idea of what could have been. Release: February 2008. Price: $300.
Pros: Better contextual menus than the LG Venus.
Cons: Not coming the U.S., won't replace the Venus any time soon.
