Lo and behold, another Symbian S60 phone that isn't from Nokia! But if that were all that made up the Samsung SGH-G810, it would hardly be worth mentioning. Instead, we'll mention the interesting keypad layout, which puts some navigation on a combined button on the keys, and worked well for navigating the camera features. The phone also packs GPS, still a rarity for Samsung, though the included maps program doesn't live up to the new Nokia Maps 2.0 we've seen. Still, the phone has a range of multimedia features, including HSDPA for fast networking and a 5-megapixel camera with that 3X optical zoom we've been craving on a phone for some time. Hopefully Samsung used the good lenses on this phone's camera. Release: June 2008. Price: $530.
Pros: GPS navigation, 5-megapixel camera with real optical zoom, HSDPA for fast networking.
Cons: Samsung has a poor track record with lenses in the past, even on high-megapixel phones. Maps app isn't as good as others.
