The Nokia 6210 followed us as we pivoted and turned, keeping track of where we were facing. Will a compass make the difference in navigation devices?

What a difference a compass makes! We've seen navigation phones before, even from Nokia, but the Nokia 6210 is the first we've tried that followed us as we turned in place, and that could make a real difference in getting started on our walking tours. The compass was plenty sensitive, too, and tracked even slight movements of the phone quickly. We also liked the included voice navigation service, which was loud enough to hear over the din of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Plus, with location based photo tagging and free geocaching software available, this is much more than a navigation phone. Release: July 2008. Price: $400.
Pros: Compass seems to be a real help for navigation. Loads of location-based services on board.
Cons: Car cradle is a bit bulky, something more sleek and integrated would have been nice.
