The LG KF510 has a cool look, and some spiffy special effects. The gradient color scheme is nice in person, though not exactly worth bragging about, and we liked the moving light effects on the LG KF510's keypad. Not as cool as the contextual touch menu on the LG Venus and the KF600, but still pretty. The unique "internal slide," as LG calls it, keeps the LG KF510 under 11mm thin, which is quite svelte, but LG still manages to pack in a 3-megapixel camera. Reps say the LG KF510 won't make it stateside, but we think there's still a chance Verizon Wireless could slap a fancy name on it and send it out the door. For those who can't wait for a carrier to pick it up, the LG KF510 is now available as an unlocked phone. Release: May 2008. Price: $375.
Pros: Cool paint job. Neat light effects. 3-megapixel camera. Even makes phone calls.
Cons: LG is bragging more about flash than substance here, but with a low price point the substance will be worth it.
