HP and Toshiba recently released new Tablet PCs, both of which offer unique features. Which model did we find most appealing?

Toshiba introduced the Portege M700 in December as the first tablet PC to use an LED display, and now that we've had a chance to examine it in person, we can say we prefer this display over an LCD screen. Tablet users are often using their notebooks in real-world situations -- doctors checking medical records, salesmen taking inventory, etc. -- and the LED display eliminates the "display angle" problem that all LCD screens have. If you're looking to getting a tablet, the Portege M700 is worth a look. Release: December 2007. Price: $1450.
Pros: LED display
Cons: Slightly more expensive than comparable models

Just as CES was set to kick off, HP announced an updated version of their 12.1-inch convertible tablet, the Pavilion tx2000. The big change from the tx1000 is the addition of a Wacom digitizer, which has quickly become the standard for touch-input screens in the tablet world. Adorned with HP's "Echo" inlaid design, this sub-5-pound tablet, along with Dell's recent entry into the tablet market, is a sign that first-tier OEMs are taking tablet design seriously. Release: January 2008. Price: $1700.
Pros: Added Wacom active digitizer
Cons: May be heavier than other tablet PCs
