Eclipse's new in-car multimedia system comes with an impressive 7-inch screen, and a range of audio features.

The AVN6620's impressive 7-inch screen is undoubtedly the first thing the user notices, but the screen is more impressive in theory than in practice. The touchscreen only registers finger taps, not slides, and the screen itself is nowhere near sensitive enough, frequently requiring multiple taps before a tap is registered. We like the on-screen controls for iPods, but don't know why Eclipse didn't take the extra step and play video from iPods on its giant screen. That being said, it played CDs, MP3s, WMAs and DVDs, as well as providing support for HD Radio, XM and Sirius, even using Sirius' traffic information. Release: January 2008. Price: $1200.
Pros: Giant screen, HD, XM and Sirius support
Cons: Unresponsive touchscreen
