FujiFilm has announced their newest F-series model, the FinePix F100fd. Stuffing a 12-megapixel sensor into a compact digital camera frame.
The F100fd brings a wide angle 5x optical zoom lens and a 2.7-inch, 230,000 pixel LCD to go along with FujiFilm standards dual image stabilization, face detection and automatic red eye removal. The most impressive feature about the camera is its ISO settings up to ISO 12800.
We're not sure why companies still deal with the outdated Infrared wireless technology, but for someone with multiple FujiFilm cameras, it makes transferring photos between cameras relatively easy. It can take up to 3 shots at 1.7 frames per second at full resolution and up to 12 at 5 frames per second, albeit at a reduced resolution of 3-Megapixels. We also like the camera's dual shot mode, which shoots two images in rapid succession (one with flash and one without), allowing users to get both shots without stopping to decide which will work better.
The FinePix F100fd will be released in March 2008 and retail for $380.
