This 20.1-inch monster has been around for a while, but at CES HP unveiled a graphics update from ATI's Mobility Radeon 2600 XT with Nvidia's GeForce 8800 GTS. This 20.1-inch notebook space is really a two-horse race between the HDX and Dell's XPS M2010, and the 8800 GTS gives the HDX a slight leg up. HP also announced at the show that a Blu-ray/HD-DVD combo drive would be made available as an option, although with Warner Bros' pre-show announcement of its alignment with the Blu-ray camp, that made have rendered that a moot point. Release: January 2008. Price: $4350.
Pros: Updated with Nvidia's 8800 graphics
Cons: Still a monstrous size
