The FS11 takes the dual flash memory idea behind the HF10 and stuffs it into their SD package. It features a smaller 1.07-megapixel image sensor, what Canon calls 48x "advanced zoom" and 16GB of flash memory to go along with the SDHC slot. Just like its HD cousins, it comes bundled with a wireless remote and features a joystick on its rotating LCD screen. Release: May 2008. Price: $600.
Pros: Dual flash memory (SDHC and internal), extremely lightweight
Cons: Standard definition only

The FS10 identical to the FS11, with the exception of having only 8GB of internal flash memory to the FS10's 16GB. Just like the FS10, it records onto its internal memory or an SDHC card. We suppose this model, sitting between the SDHC-only FS100 and the FS11, might offer consumers a middle ground between SD models, but we're not entirely convinced it's necessary. Release: May 2008. Price: $500.
Pros: Dual flash memory (SDHC and internal), extremely lightweight
Cons: Standard definition only

The FS100 might be FS10 without any flash memory, but without HD recording or dual flash memory, it is easily the least interesting of Canon's new camcorders. Itself a lightweight expandable flash-based camcorder, the FS100 is a good low-cost option for someone who specifically wants to record to flash, but doesn't offer anything new to get excited about. Release: May 2008. Price: $400.
Pros: Extremely lightweight
Cons: Standard definition only
