The Apple Time Capsule isn't such an exciting product in and of itself, but paired with Tiger's new Time Machine backup feature, it becomes a convenient addition. Basically, it's an Airport Extreme with a hard disk drive built in. We're skeptical of pairing these two pieces of hardware. In our experience, Hard Disk Drives and wireless routers are two of the more unreliable pieces of equipment we own, and it wouldn't be our first choice to let them hang out together. We're also wondering about real NAS support in this drive, and potential IP access. Release: March 2008. Price: $300.
Pros: Small form, fits neatly in an Apple showroom. Makes Time Machine even more convenient.
Cons: Still pricey. Two great tastes, but do they taste great together? Feature-limited compared to competitors?
