This was one of the most impressive devices we saw at CES, even more so than the giant plasmas being touted throughout the show. The relatively small Organic Light Emitting Diode television is the 11-inch XEL-1's big brother, and while there's no info on when it will be released, it the clearest picture we've ever seen on a 27-inch screen. The profile was also seemingly impossibly thin, no doubt due to OLED's heat-reducing low-power technology. We're not sure if this is the future of flat-panel televisions, but if it is, it looks pretty. Release: January 2008.
Pros: Amazing clarity, incredibly thin
Cons: Prototype only
