Bang & Olufsen's new and upgraded HDTVs offer more advanced sound and picture technologies than most. Will we be longing for these all the way home from Las Vegas?

The BeoVision 4 is the most affordable of their flat-panel televisions, although with a price point hovering around $4,000, this is completely relative. The protruding speaker bar that extends along the bottom of the monitor is set to resemble an orchestra pit, and the extra depth makes for the best sound we've heard from any flat panel TV's speakers. Picture quality appears to be on-par with most high-quality 1080p televisions, but the appeal of this model is the variety of mounting and placement options available, as well as the virtual "orchestra pit." Release: March 2008. Price: $4000.
Pros: Fantastic sound from speaker bar, variety of placement options
Cons: Extremely high price point

Bang & Olufsen's BeoVision 4 isn't new, but at CES they debuted their upgraded model with Automatic Color Management. An integrated camera and software measures the color balance of the screen, adjusting it automatically to compensate for aging phosphors. We like the idea, as someone investing upwards of $7,500 on a television wants to be sure they can protect their investment as long as possible, but it's hard to get excited about aging phosphors. Release: April 2008. Price: $7500.
Pros: New Automatic Color Management technology

The Bang & Olufsen Beo5 remote control embodies what we've come to expect from Bang & Olufsen. Sparkling design, enhanced customization options for high-end audiophiles. And a baffling price point, considering the dearth of competitors doing much more for much less. Case in point: adding icons to the remote for all your pay channels will be performed by a technician at an hourly charge. If you're already a B&O cultist, here's your new remote. Otherwise, this probably isn't your bag. Release: June 2008. Price: $500.
Pros: Slick geometrical design is also easy to hold. Nice screen with customizable buttons.
Cons: Extremely expensive. Most customization will be performed by tech, not user.
