One of three new camcorders Sony debuted at CES, the HDR-SR12 features full 1920 x 1080 AVCHD for recording video in true high definition, a 10-megapixel photo capture, a 3.2-inch touch panel LCD and image stabilization technology for smooth video recording. While in our fantasy world we'd like to see Sony ditch the Memory Stick format, at least built-in hard drives are slowly rendering that format more and more obsolete. Available in March for $1,400. Release: April 2008. Price: $1400.
Pros: Full 1080 HD recording and in 5.1 Dolby surround sound
Cons: Memory Stick
