Five new series, four new designs, three new dimensions of picture quality, and two gaming features…are you ready to meet Toshiba's new LCD line-up?
There's no word on whether or not some of Toshiba's new LCD TVs were intended to come optimized for Warner Bros. viewing, but the company's new LCD TV series for sure includes something for most types of HDTV usage.
Starting with three Cinema Series LCD TVs, Toshiba aims to attract high-style conscious consumers by incorporating its "Super Narrow Bezel" at only 0.9 inches and thinner SoundStrip 2 speaker system, to its new REGZA XF550 models. All models feature three HDMI 1.3 inputs and 1080p full HD resolution. The models will be available in February 2008, and selling for $2000 (42-inch), $2500 (46-inch) and $3200 (52-inch).
Next up is the REGZA XV540 series for sports and action lovers. Boasting 120 Hz frame rate with film stabilization and new 5:5 Pull-Down for clearer fast-motion video, the new 42-inch, 46-inch and 52-inch models will be available in March for $1650, $2200 and $2900.
Home theater enthusiasts should look out for the REGZA RV530 series to come out in a myriad of models in February and March. The prices will range from $1100 to $2700 and the LCD TVs will be available in 32 to 52-inch models. The RV530 series sports 1080p full HD as well as DynaLight dynamic backlight with a higher 15000:1 dynamic contrast for deeper black levels. These models will also include four HDMI inputs and a new PC input for PC gamers.
The REGZA CV510 series is of the less expensive 720p kind, aimed at the average TV viewer. Coming in 32-inch and 37-inch models, the CV510 still offers three HDMI inputs as well as a gaming mode providing more direct video signal-to-the-screen for faster game controller response. Both LCD TVs will be available in March for $900 and $1100, respectively.
For those looking into upgrading old television sets outside their living-room, Toshiba will soon also roll out a full range of 720p LCD TVs in its AV500 series. Diagonal sizes and prices starts at 19 inches and $430 and goes up to 42 inches and $1300.
