If you're tired of ugly computer accessories, it may be time to go French. LaCie, a Paris-based electronics company, has introduced a new line of external hard drives designed by Neil Poulton, an award-winning product designer.
The sleek black boxes shine a blue LED light from underneath to create a unique ambient glow. It's ultracompact and features natural heat dissipation with bottom plate holes for natural airflow and no fan whatsoever -- enabling a quieter are operation.
The hard drive is available in capacities of 320GB, 500GB, 750GB and 1TB. It can transfer data over a USB 2.0 interface (no FireWire or eSATA) and is compatible with PC or Mac.
The special HDD is available now and begins at $120.
