Following the introduction of the MediaFLO enabled Z6tv, Verizon Wireless today released the Z6c world phone.
Verizon Wireless and Motorola today announced the availability of the Z6c world edition on the former's network. Beyond its slim look, the Z6c adds support for global voice networks (GSM and CDMA) as well as EV-DO support on Verizon's own network and in 22 other countries that use CDMA technology.
The Z6c also features a 2 Megapixel camera, 2-inch QVGA display and supports up to 4GB microSD cards. Bluetooth 2.0 ensures pairing with Motorola's S9 stereo Bluetooth headset, but the Z6c is not the most obvious music phone in Verizon Wireless' portfolio.
Common VZW services such as V Cast Video and V Cast Music are supported by the Z6c, which enables over-the-air music and video downloads. Unlike its sibling, the Z6tv, the Z6c does however not support Verizon Wireless' MediaFLO network.
The Motorola Z6c world edition is available today for $180 with a two-year contract.
