New touchscreen monitors from Wacom can provide tablet-like functionality for a laptop or a desktop in three different sizes.
Wacom Technology announced on Monday two new members to its Cintiq line of touchscreen monitors, the 12WX and 20WSX. These "interactive pen displays" allow you to add tablet-like functionality to your laptop or desktop.
The Cintiq 12WX is a 12.1-inch TFT display that weighs 4.4 pounds and can be used either as a primary or auxiliary display for your computer. It uses 1,024 levels of pressure-sensitivity, comes with Adobe Photoshop Elements and Corel Painter and retails for $1,000.
The other addition to the Cintiq family is the 20WSX, a 20.1-inch touchscreen that offers up to 1680 x 1050 resolution. A dynamically-adjustable stand allows you to rotate the display up to 180 degrees in each direction and move the include from 10 to 65 degrees. The price is set at $2,000.
Both are available now directly from Wacom's website.
