The name may say it all, but does the LG Shine have anything to offer beyond its thin and stylish look?
LG and AT&T's new Shine arrived in stores on Black Friday, featuring a sliding form factor and a silver exterior. In our upcoming review of the stylish and ultra-slim Shine, we're eager to find out whether its 2.2" QVGA screen with 262K colors lives up to the phone's name. Other notable features include a 2-Megapixel camera (unfortunately without autofocus, a must-have), as well as support for over-the-air Napster downloads.
Measuring 3.9 x 2 x 0.6 inches and weighing 4.23 ounces, the LG Shine is among the thinnest phones available. However, LG claims a talk time of only 3 hours, making the Shine more about looks than anything else, despite its microSD slot that supports 4GB cards and a music player supporting MP3, WMA, AAC, AAC+ and eAAC+ file formats.
Operating on AT&T's GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA network, the LG Shine is available now through AT&T stores for $150 with a two-year contract and a $50 mail-in rebate.
