AT&T's LG Shine and Verizon Wireless' LG Venus are some of the latest additions to the massive release of high-end phones in the last few weeks.
 | | The LG Shine makes its debut on AT&T tomorrow for $150 | More than twenty high-end handsets have been released in the last few weeks, which is a higher number than new releases in July, August and September combined. Samsung tops the list with six new releases, while LG and T-Mobile follow with four and three, respectively. RIM and Motorola have released two new phones each, so far, while Sanyo and Pantech have released one phone each.
Among all the new releases this fall, we find an increasing trend of cheap but feature-rich phones. Perhaps the best example of this is Palm's Centro, which is already too "old" to be among the twenty most recent high-end phones.
The most recent release is LG's Shine, which will ship with AT&T network support tomorrow. In our upcoming review of the stylish and ultra-slim Shine, we're eager to find out whether its 2.2" QVGA screen with 262K colors lives up to the phone's name. Other notable features include a 2 Megapixel camera (unfortunately without autofocus, which is a must-have), as well as support for over-the-air Napster downloads.
Here are the nineteen other most recent high-end phone releases:
