Sony today reveals their list of approximately one hundred game titles to be released for the PS3, PSP and PS2 game consoles this holiday season.
Sony today unveiled its 2007 holiday line-up, including a first-party and third-party software offering for the PS3, PSP and PS2 consoles, as well as a variety of hardware bundles for all PlayStation platforms. One of the games to be released for the PS3 is NBA 08, which will offer gameplay in full HD at 1080p and 60 fps (frames per second).
Upcoming PS3 titles
Sony's game line-up for the PlayStation 3 includes eight first-party titles such as "The Eye of Judgment", "Heavenly Sword", "NBA 08", "Lair", "Folklore", "Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction", Uncharted: Drakes Fortune" and "Warhawk".
Among the twenty-six third-party titles for the PS3 we find "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare", "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock", "Tony Hawk's Proving Ground", "Jericho", "FIFA 08", "Medal of Honor Airborne", "Simpsons: The Game", "LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga", "BlackSite: AREA 51", "John Woo Presents Stranglehold Collector's Edition", "Unreal Tournament 3", "Time Crisis 4", "SEGA Rally Revo", "WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008" and "Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions of WWII".
Upcoming PSP titles
On the PSP front, bundles like the Daxter PSP Entertainment Pack and the limited edition Star Wars Battlefront PSP Entertainment Pack will be available soon. The PSP platform gets twenty-five new games this holiday season, including titles such as "Jeanne d'Arc", "Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow", "SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Tactical Strike", "Spider-Man 3", "The Sims 2 Castaway" and "FIFA 08".
Upcoming PS2 titles
The PS2 is getting a social makeover with limited edition ceramic white hardware, SingStar Pop and a price point of $150 when the SingStar PS2 Pack launches later this month. In addition, seven new first-party game titles for the PS2 will be released, including titles such as "Buzz! The Mega Quiz", "Buzz! Junior: Jungle Party", "SingStar: Amped" and "SingStar: '80s".
The third-party game line-up for PS2 counts twenty new games, including titles such as "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock", "Tony Hawk's Proving Ground", "High School Musical: Sing It", "Need for Speed ProStreet", "Final Fantasy XI: Wings of the Goddess" and "Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of the Illuminus".
The PlayStation Network will get nineteen new offerings including "High Velocity Bowling", "MotorStorm Christmas Livery", "Folklore Download Packs 1 and 2", "MotorStorm Premium Pack 2" and "MotorStorm Vehicle and Livery Pack".
